Antique Walnut Postmaster Secretary Desk

Antique postmaster secretary desk, made from walnut with a medium-tone finish, is loaded with neat details with wonderful nostalgia. A top-hinged crests the piece, lifting to reveal a row of 12 envelope cubbies. The right cabinet, located underneath, has four vertical slots for papers and documents. The left cabinet has six pigeonhole cubbies above 12 small, labeled boxes with brass ring pulls. Hinged lids along the back allow for unique entry. Single drawers with knob pulls sit beneath these two cabinets. The center of the hutch has two drawers above a single shelf. Two additional drawers are positioned under the rectangular desk top. Four legs have turned and faceted details.
