Pair of sculptures by listed French artist Charles-Emile Jonchery (1873-1937) depicts two female figures in dancing poses. Cast in spelt with a well-patinated bronze, these hefty sculptures reflect an art deco influence, with the female figures dressed in stereotypical “flapper girl” attire. Jonchery’s cast signature is prominently displayed on the base of each sculpture.
