Bronze statue of a Native American by Austrian sculptor Carl Kauba is intricately crafted with fine detail. An chief shields his face and eyes, allowing the focus to be on his intricate headdress and clothing. Signed on base, and mounted to a round stone base.

About the Artist:
Carl Kauba (1865-1922) was a Austrian born sculptor whose popular bronzes were imported to the United States between 1895 and 1912. Kauba allegedly toured the Western region of the US in 1886 before returning to Vienna to recreate his sketches at Roman Bronze Works. He regularly employed  the polychrome bronze method that was popular in the 19th century to add further depth to his intricate sculptures.
